How do I earn points?

Every time you make a purchase on our site you will earn 1 point per $1 spent. Please see above to view other ways to earn points.

How can I check my points balance?

You can check your points balance by clicking the account icon at the top right of the website or by going to patternbeauty.com/pages/loyalty and clicking "Sign In."

Will I receive points for my previous purchases?

No, unfortunately points are not retroactive to past purchases.

Do my points expire?

Yes, they expire after 1 year of inactivity.

What does "inactivity" mean?
In this context, inactivity refers to customers who have not earned or redeemed any points within the selected time frame.
Customers who exceed 1 year without earning or redeeming points will lose their accrued point balance.

Does my tier status expire?

Yes, your tier status will reset each rolling year. A twelve month timer is activated once a customer enters a tier.

For example, a customer who crossed the tier entry threshold on March 3rd, 2019 will retain that tier until March 3rd, 2020 (assuming all other requirements are met).

Can I redeem all my points at once?

No, you can redeem your points in increments of $10, $15, $20, $25 & $30 off.

Do I need to make a minimum purchase to use my points?

No minimum purchase amount is required.

I received a referral from a friend. Do I need to spend a minimum amount to receive my 20% off?

Yes, you need to spend a minimum amount of $75 on the website in order to use your referral discount.

My friend sent me a referral. How do I access my 20% off coupon?

Once you are referred by a friend, you will receive an email containing a link that will bring you back to patternbeauty.com. Once you are directed to the site, you will receive a pop up with your coupon code. You must make a minimum purchase of $75 to receive your discount. Please copy the code & apply it at checkout to receive your discount. If you have more questions, please contact customer service at hello@patternbeauty.com.

How does the Punch Card feature work?

When you make 3 purchases totaling $50 or more throughout a 12-month period, you'll be awarded 50 Bonus Points.

Can I redeem an unlimited number of points?

No, you can redeem your points in increments of 100, 150, 200, 250 & 300 at one time.

Are there limitations to the "Birthday Reward?"

Yes, you cannot claim a birthday reward until after 30 days after joining the program.

Once I reach a new tier will all my points receive a tier multiplier?

Points earned within each tier are eligible for the tier multiplier. Points earned in previous tiers are subject to the point multiplier of that tier.

Do refunded purchases impact a customer's tier eligibility & status?

Once a refund is successfully processed, the customer's tier eligibility is automatically recalculated. In the event that the customer is no longer eligible for their tier status as a result, they will be downgraded according to Tier Downgrade settings.

How do I get points for leaving a review? Am I limited on the number of reviews I can write?

You must leave a review through the automated review request sent to you via email. You can only receive points for one review per order. Reviews left via the on site widget will not be awarded points. Multiple reviews left for a single order will only be given points once per purchase. Points will be awarded to photos and videos selected to be published to the website. When uploading your photos and videos to your reviews, points will only be awarded to actual customer photos that reflect the results upon use of the products under review. Any photos/videos that do not meet this criteria will not be eligible for rewards points. The photos/videos we choose to publish on the site is entirely under PATTERN's discretion.

I referred a friend but didn't get the reward? Why not?

Your friend must use their valid referral link, self-referrals are not allowed (the IP address/User agent must not be mismatched), your friend must make a minimum purchase of $75, this must be the friend's first purchase & on-site pop ups must be enabled in browser.

Is there a cap on the number of referrals received or given?

Yes, customers can be rewarded up to 100 times through the referral program.

What if one of the products I want to redeem for points is sold out?

You can only redeem points for available products. If an item you would like to redeem points for is sold out, you would need to wait until that item is back in stock to redeem it for points. We cannot guarantee when or if an item will be back in stock.

Can I redeem my points at Ulta or any other store?

No, points are only redeemable on Patternbeauty.com
